Who are we serving?

Protests are happening all over the globe. In England they want their King to step up. In the USA they say No Kings. In other places they march for Palestine or Israel. Unrest is happening in places that were once prosperous and peaceful. Ordinary people who never walked in protest are in the streets.
But ask yourself, who is pulling the strings? Someone pays for all the signs, the flags, the websites, the advertising of the events. Yes, many volunteers help for free, but someone is paying and getting paid. What is their ultimate goal?
When I was a child, I lived for 2 years in the Kingdom of Thailand. As a pseudointellectual teenager I thought I had no king because I was a citizen of a free country and I was a free person. I was wrong. We all have a king. Bob Dylan sang about it. “Gotta Serve Somebody”
Matthew 6:24 has something to say about this as well.
1 Samuel Chapter 8 tells about what earthly rulers would do.
There is also revival that does not make the mainstream media. Underground churches are growing in places of great persecution. Some of those folks are boldly in the streets at the risk of being imprisoned or killed.
When we march in the streets, who are we serving?
The Word of God has so much to say about our service. We should not go to the right or the left: Deut. 5:32 and Proverbs 4:27. We should look for the narrow Gate and go in before the door is shut. Matthew 25.
Jesus said in John 18:36 “my kingdom is not of this world…”
That’s my King! King Jesus.
