MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE

My mother wrote long letters to me when I was in college. Some were 3 pages in her own hand. She talked about all the mundane things of the day. The letters would start with "I woke up at 6 this morning and started the laundry....I cooked...for dinner...." They would finish at bedtime. My floor mates were so curious about my letters. Some never received mail from home; most just a short occassional message. At first I was a bit embarrased. Later I realized mom knew I might be homesick and the letters could help. They helped my friends too as I read them aloud. I could hear her voice in her daily life written out for me, and my friends.
People complain they never hear from God.
Do you want to hear? Read HIs letter to you, the Bible.
Is that difficult? Get an app and listen. The Gideons have a great app that is available in multiple versions and languages.
When I read the Bible I hear the sound of His voice. My sheep hear My voice, (John 10:27) says the Word. You can too.
Does the world seem dark?
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105
This world is crazy with wars and rumors of wars; strange things happening in the skys. We need a quiet place, a sanctuary for our thoughts to restore our peace. I find that in His Word. You are my hiding place; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7
I am asked if I am religious. I often answer, no. I don't follow rituals. I don't go to a building very often. I just enjoy quiet time with the Word. And so can you. Do you have questions? Ask. Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened. Matt. 7:7
Currently I read the Word outloud with my husband. Then we pray. This is a great blessing. I would be happy to read to another person or a group.
